“It’s June, and I am tired of being brave.” - Anne Sexton
I have my last drawing critique of the year tomorrow.
I’m restless. Things are calling me away. My hair is being pulled by the stars again.

Revising an old drawing I made. Hoping I’ll be more satisfied the second time around.
This is a drawing I made for my best friends birthday.
Scanned version.

Study.
I have a seminar this week and next week, and the seminar is called PAINT. Today we went to the Royal Talens factory (which makes Amsterdam, Van Gogh and Rembrandt art supplies) It was really really cool to see how it’s all made. And at the end of the tour we got to play around in the studio and use ALL the supplies they had, which was A LOT!
This week I also learned how to make my own acrylic paint, gouache and watercolor. Next week we’re learning how to make tempera and oil paint. This seminar is really great, and very good distraction as well. And making your own paint is so easy, I think I’m going to start making it myself soon.
I’m so glad this really works. I have to fix a few more things and then it’s done to get printed! Linocut printed with watercolor.
